Jello Banana Surprise

Scott sends me random things he finds while he is hard at work finding support or "inspiration" images. Scott kept coming up with reasons why we needed to try it out, so we had fun Saturday night making this perfectly ordinary dessert. We probably didn't document our experiment the best, but this gives you an idea of the fun we had.

We removed the banana from the peel through a small slit at the bottom.

Scott thought it was pretty cool to peel a jello banana.  Most people have had banana slices in jello, but what about jello in their banana?  We dare someone to come up with a cooler jello mold...

Weekend Food Finds

We found some good grub this weekend as we were exploring Portland and Beaverton. This is a taste of some of the goodies that await our visitors...

This is a fun place on 23rd.
We found this delicious crepe at the Farmer's Market
in Beaverton. Scott enjoyed the crepe making process
almost as much as he enjoyed the crepe...almost.

Chicago-style deep dish pizza at the PSU Farmer's Market.
We would definitely do this one again.
Tamale at the same spot.
We found this treasure close to home.
The Gelato and Yogurt Lounge saw us twice that day.
We remembered half way through dinner to snap a picture.
This is what remains of our Pad Thai.
Our waiter helped us make our favorite curry.
What started as Panang ended as more of a Massaman.

Typhoon of Beaverton...we'll be back soon.

Finding new food spots has been a fun adventure for us. Portland has a good variety, and the quality doesn't disappoint.

People of Portland

As promised...our first post includes some of Portland's treasures. Without these gems, Portland just wouldn't be Portland. That being said, this is only a snippet of one day's finds. Even with our camera in hand, it was hard to capture the unusual beauty of the city we now live in. How do you take a picture of the man shopping next to you in the sequins jacket? We apologize for the shoddy nature of some of the pictures...we'll try and pick up our game.

Which of the white-haired people felt a little extra spunky today?
I've been waiting to show off this combo.

She's thinking, "I'd kill for those legs." He's thinking, "I'd kill for those boots."

Portland drive thru...trike in line for tamales.

Crossed legs, handbag, and braids...yeah, he had girls swarmin all day.

This is part of Louis Vuitton's spring collection for Portland.

I call this look...blue steel.
He later passed us on Burnside going 40 on Killer here.

Imagine Grandpa Layton singing here...tueytuca.

We are starting to understand the bumper sticker "Keep Portland Weird."
